Hannah Addair for Rowan County Commissioner
As a life-long Rowan County resident, I am dedicated to working with all citizens to create a more resilient, equitable, and loving community. We are all neighbors in this beautiful county of ours – let’s work together to make it a place where everyone wants to be, responsibly.
2026 General Election: November 3
My Priorities:
Quality Education:
Not only are our educators struggling to make ends meet, but they also have to fight just to get the resources they so desperately need for their students to be successful in the classroom. We must empower our educators and pay them the wages they deserve so that we may help our future generations thrive in an ever-changing world.
Environmental Health & Resiliency:
In the past few years, we have seen unprecedented natural disasters. Hurricane Helene devastated our neighbors in Western NC in 2024, and this year, we are in a record-breaking drought. Whether we want to believe it or not, we are in a climate crisis. We must begin working with the natural landscape to create a resilient Rowan County so that we can be prepared for whatever catastrophes come our way. Let’s stop paving paradise and learn to work with nature and not against it.
People over Profit:
Far too often we have seen small businesses fail in our County. Sadly, farmers have had to sell their family land and businesses have had to close shop. Instead of adding another Dollar General to every rural street corner, let’s find the resources to help our neighbors and build up our local economy before opening up our neighborhoods to large corporations.
