About Hannah

My name is Hannah Addair, and I am a lifelong resident of Rowan County. I am a proud alumna of West Rowan High School and Catawba College, where I serve as Sustainability Program Director out of the esteemed Center for the Environment. I have an incredibly diverse professional portfolio, and believe that the opportunities I have had the privilege of experiencing have shaped me into the well-rounded, open-minded woman I am today.

Over the years, I have become increasingly alarmed with the ways that our natural world has been treated – from deforestation, the decimation of our small farms, to the explosive development of Data Centers – and fear for the direction we are hurtling towards. We simply cannot sustain the health of our children, our communities, or environment if we continue to develop in such a reckless way. Rowan County is known for its agriculture and beautiful natural places; if development continues in the way it has the last few years, what will we be known for in the future?

I believe that we can work together, to create a more resilient, equitable, and loving community. It takes a village to make impactful change, but I know we can do it when we create the space for curious minds and transparent conversations.

Today, I live in Salisbury with my wonderfully supportive husband. I serve on the City of Salisbury’s Greenway, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Committee as well as the City’s Transportation Advisory Board. I have also been accepted into the 2026 Leadership Rowan cohort through the Rowan Chamber of Commerce and look forward to strengthening my knowledge of this wonderful county we are so blessed to call Home.
